In the beginning of April the drummer of Ku-ku band Venelin Venkov was in Istanbul to order new cymbals. They will be a handmade masterpiece of Istanbul Agop Cymbals Company. On the set there will be an engraved sign: “Venko – Ku-Ku Band”.

Venko visited Istanbul Agop Cymbals with Emil Gatev the person that takes care for the delivery of all of the Ku-Ku Band`s musical instruments. During the their visit they were given a hearty welcome from the management of the company.

Interesting fact is that the company is moving its head office to a new building which is unequipped up to this moment. However, especially for the visit of Venko, there had been placed shelves with cymbals in the building. After three hours selection the Ku-ku Band drummer has chosen 22 cymbals each with the sign: “Venko – Ku-Ku Band”.

The new drum set for Venko has arrived recently. The set isn’t assembled completely but Venko is using a part of it for the big live concerts of Music Idol.

We will see the drum set completely assembled when the special Rack System and the cymbals will be delivered. That is expected in the beginning of May.

The drums of Venelin Venkov are Emerald Onyx by Venelin Venkov – from the same brand as the previous – DW. They have been made of special maple tree, which is cultivated in a private forest of DW. On the tree drum base has been laid a 14 – layer fluorescence holding in green, which is patent of the brand. The finished state of the unique set comes from the rings made of special metal, named brass.
It is no accident that the making of the drums took 14 months.

Considering everything mentioned above we can say that in a meanwhile Ku-ku Band will have a brand new view and sound.
