Carlos Moya: “Currently Bulgarian tennis is at a very good level”

The former world number one in tennis Carlos Moya visited “Slavi’s Show.” The Spaniard is in Bulgaria for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation as well as for the shooting of a commercial for his brand of perfume.

Carlos shared with Slavi that he is in Bulgaria for the first time. At the question of the host whether he has heard something about our country, the Spaniard answered: “I know one of the biggest football players Hristo Stoichkov.” Carlos Moya expressed an opinion about Bulgarian Tennis “Currently it is at a very good level.” Carlos remembers that several years ago he played with the Bulgarian tennis player Orlin Stanoychev.

Slavi Trifonov didn’t forget to ask Carlos Moya how does one become a great player: “Is talent the key?” “Talent is very important, but also important are many other factors – intelligence, physical strength,” replied the tennis player.
Carlos said that when he won “Roland Garros” he didn’t feel anything at the moment, “You realize what you did a few days later”. Most memorable for him is the moment of reaching the top of ATP (World Ranking).

Currently Carlos Moya continues to be an active player but he is recovering from an injury received a year ago. He shared with Slavi that he is contemplating when he will be able to play again.

Slavi Trifonov asked him who are more attractive – Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi or Federer and Nadal. “These are the biggest opponents in the history of tennis,” said Carlos. “They do a very different game when they play against each other, so each set between them is brilliant. Everybody likes watching two different styles. ”

At the end of the conversation Carlos gave Slavi a perfume of his brand. Slavi asked him about his personal life: “Recently you became a father. Is this the most important thing?” “Without a doubt. I think you can see it on me”, replied Carlos Moya.
