“My guest tonight is a great rapper” – Slavi presented Redman in this way. The American performer who has a duet with Snoop Dog, Doctor Dre, 2 Pac, Eminem and Christina Aguilera, was a special guest on the “Slavi Show”. Despite problems with the plane, Redman managed to land in Bulgaria and to make his fans happy.

“Have I been to Bulgaria? Yes, I think I have,” said the rapper. The host described him as a cosmopolitan personality and asked him what is he doing in a small country like ours. “It doesn’t matter how big you are, it doesn’t matter what your country represents. I come here for good music. I come here to present my personality, to show love, I have many fans here. I wanted to come to Bulgaria to make a DJ show”, said Redman. For the viewers of the “Slavi Show” he did freestyle rap with “Ku-Ku Band.”

The rapper explained that at first he was a DJ, but after that he began making music. “Music is my life,” he said. “At the moment I am changing the world with my show.” The most important message he wants to deliver to people is to love what they do, to love their parents, to pray for what they want, to have patience and to always think big. “Never short yourself and the world is yours,” added the star.

Redman told Slavi how he got his nickname: “When I was young and it was snowing – a female threw a snowball and hit me in the face. And it was all red. And then they said – you are redman, hence the name started. Furthermore, I had red hair at that time, but my hair changed its color since then.” This revelation provoked Slavi and he shared a story that happened with the same lady: “When I was young, after an experience with her, I got the nickname Bigman”.

The guest thanked Slavi for the invitation to visit the show. He explained that he doesn’t go on big shows in the U.S. “But being here on the biggest show in Bulgaria is a great privilege for me,” he said. Slavi noted that Redman didn’t behave like other hip-hop stars: “I know other rappers, you are quite different, I can’t understand why. You’re polite, you smile, you’re friendly, you’re very cool. Not that other rappers aren’t cool, but they aren’t as friendly, they are somehow always angry, they always say: “I came out of the ghetto, I’m angry at the whole world, it was very difficult for me, I had to fight, in show business it is like war.” To these words, the guest shared that no matter where he is, he is always thinking that his mother is watching. “She taught me to be independent, to be kind to people, she taught me to appreciate where I am, and where I’m going. Why do I smile so much? Because I always think that my mother is watching me. And I want my mother to be proud of me.”
