The Italian football legend of the 80-ies, Paolo Rossi, was a guest in Slavi’s Show. In the morning he landed at Sofia Airport, in the afternoon he played 20 minutes in the match between the USA Stars’94 and Italy’s group team.

At the very beginning of the conversation the famous football player expressed his joy about the warm wellcome he was enjoying in Bulgaria. He said that such kind of reception brings him back to the years of his active sports career and the moment when 200 000 people signed for a piaca in Rome to be named after him. After he watched the video materials from the Football World Cup ’82 Paolo Rossi said that to him it seemed he did all this….but he was playing in a team, after all.

During the conversation about the World Cup, Slavi mentioned the name of Gentile. He said that according to him ‘gentile’ means gentleman, polite, well-meaning. Smiling, Paolo Rossi, confirmed the gentle character of his team player, but only outside the football field. Asked about Hristo Stoichkov, the guest said that he likes him very much because he is a very technical player and does everything on the instant, meaning he is unpredictable. According to Rossi the games of the Football World Cup ‘2004 in Portugal will be very challenging, because of the similar level of the numerous teams.
